Classes
What classes do you offer?
We offer daily 45-60 minute RIDE, Barre, HIIT, Yoga, Mat Pilates, and Reformer Pilates group classes.
What should I know before my first class?
Before coming to your first class, please note that it will take some time to get changed and familiarize yourself with the studio, therefore, we kindly ask you to show up at least 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to start.
What if I’m late for a class?
Our doors close promptly at the start of each class and are not opened again until the class is over. If you are late to your class you will not be permitted in and you will lose your class credit. Please show up to the studio at least 5-15 minutes before your class is scheduled to start.
I have never done a group fitness class before, can I still join your classes?
Of course, our classes are suited to challenge you at any level and our instructors are always providing modifications and adjustments to suit your needs. For an introduction to Reformer classes, please take 3 Reformer Method classes and for an introduction to Ride classes, you may take our Ride Method class. All other classes are open for all levels!
What should I bring with me?
Just bring your gym gear. We’ve got everything else covered from cycling shoes, mats, towels, hair dryers, lockers, and fresh filtered water, just remember to bring a bottle to fill up or you can also buy a BECYCLE & BEYOND bottle in the studio. Bring grippy socks for Reformer, Mat Pilates or Barre classes or purchase them in the studio.
What is a Ride class?
A Ride class is an Indoor cycling class, also known as spin class – a high-energy fitness workout conducted on a stationary bike. It combines cardiovascular exercise with strength training, offering a dynamic and intense workout experience. At BECYCLE, our Ride classes are designed to be performance-driven. We combine power and rhythm-based workouts, with a strong focus on performance metrics displayed on the bike’s console. While riding to curated music that enhances both atmosphere and energy, we utilize RPM and Watts to keep us accountable, track progress, and maximize individual performance. Additionally, we use Performance IQ technology to track and rank your metrics onto a leaderboard at the end of each class so that you can see where you stood amongst the group! These classes take place in our Ride rooms.
What is a Refine class?
A Refine class is any class that takes place on a mat in our Refine Rooms: Barre, Mat Pilates, Yoga, HIIT, and STRENGTH.
What is a Reformer class?
A Reformer class is a Reformer Pilates class that takes place on a Reformer machine. What makes our Reformer classes stand out is our attention to the quality of the movement, cueing for functional alignment and breathing techniques to call attention to the mind-body concentration that deepens the specificity of each exercise.
At BEYOND, we honour the importance of functional and integrated movement. All of our instructors are extensively trained and qualified in Pilates, ensuring that they understand the “why” of each exercise and can facilitate a meaningful experience aimed at health and longevity.
We craft an intentional experience for our students, carefully planning how the flow from one movement will lead to the next, and considering how to best counteract the stress of daily life.
Please note: Grippy socks are required for these classes!
How can I bring a friend?
You have two easy options:
- Refer a friend directly from your account and receive a free class credit.
- Book for your friend through your account using any of our credit packages (monthly plans excluded). Your friend won’t need to create an account and can attend the class under your name with you. You can book up to 4 spots in a single class.
Simple as that—bring a friend and enjoy the class together!
Do you adhere to any class etiquette?
Yes, here are a few rules we live by:
- Always check yourself into class with our front of house staff or instructors before you head into your workout.
- Doors close at the exact starting time of class, so you must be in the room before the class start time, 5-10 minutes is best.
- Late-comers disrupt the flow of the class and will not be permitted in.
- If you must leave class early for any reason, please tell the instructor ahead of time or signal to them on your way out that you’re OK and nothing is wrong.
- If you choose to stay for the end of class stretch period, please stay for the whole part.
- Please do not bring your phones into your workout, take this time to disconnect.
- Always be respectful to your instructors, your fellow workout buddies and last but not least, our staff.
- Please try to only take 1 towel for your shower and keep your showers timely to not cause long waiting lines.
